Born and bred in Buffalo NY, owner Jay Slater Charleton came out of the womb with a chicken wing in his mouth.
With no prior restaurant experience, no formal training and no business experience to speak of, he and his crew took the 2nd place People's Choice Award for their wings and 3rd place in the Celebrity Judging category for his newly created Maple Bacon Bourbon sauce at the 2015 Silver Legacy Wing Festival.
After such an overwhelming response at Wingfest, Slater had to bribe, cajole, sweat, and borrow to buy a food trailer, which he launched in 2017.
Slater continues to dominate the podium at Wingfest, and will surely make a showing in the 2018 event.
